After he decided not to become a real architect Roel, a self-proclaimed Lego constructor, started his career as an event specialist in the creative industry, creating new hospitality standards for a new-breed concert hall among the traditional front and back of house responsibilities, followed by an intense experience as a fixer in television.

He then built a broad body of experience in the experiential marketing and event sector throughout Europe. He learned what makes on- and offline campaigns tick, how to create story-telling strategies for a wide variation of brands and how to implement the operational roll-out, always measured and always evaluated against the original brief.

While working for different brands and clients in a variety of industries he has understood that traditional above-the-line marketing does not cut it anymore and he now masters the skill to capture customers’ imagination and attention through new-bread experiential techniques in marketing, operations and hospitality.
